Dr. Beyer earned his master’s and PhD in physics at the University of Hamburg. After starting in 2003 as a manufacturing engineer in Infineon’s etch department, he joined AMD’s integration team in 2005 and spent a year with the ASTA alliance developing the 45 nm node. Back in Dresden, he has held roles from integration technology lead to customer engineering through AMD’s transition to GlobalFoundries. Today, as a technology architect, he steers the roadmap and development of embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) and CMOS technologies at FAB 1.
