Florian Wiethof
Florian Wiethof did his M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, a
double
B. Sc. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University
of Paderborn, and a vocational training as Industrial Mechanic at
the IHK. He was a dual student at BENTELER GmbH throughout
his studies.
Outside of work and studies, he spent four years building race
cars, ultimately leading a team of 80 people while developing
vehicle dynamics simulations, carbon fibre structures, three
different vehicle prototypes and iterations (combustion, electric,
driverless), and a medical respirator at the start of COIVD.
In 2020, after his studies, he moved to Munich to get a foothold
in the entrepreneurial world. He co-founded and developed a
conferencing platform to connect new students affected by
COVID. In the class of Fall ‘21, he joined the CDTM. He worked as
a tech venture builder at Picus Capital for a year, then focused
on more sociological topics. He spent some time in psychological
research at LMU, then as a high school teacher in math and
physics, and lead a CDTM course for a semester. Afterwards, he
decided to stay full-time as a CA in August ‘23.
After long exploration in musical, educational, sociological, and
game theoretical research, he combined his passion for math
and human behaviour through sociophysical research, trying to
mathematically explain human cognition.
Florian is currently co-owning eLab and owning the BM&P.
